Our newest Super Red Bushynose Pleco batch

These locally bred fry came from eggs laid on July 3, 2026. We are currently raising the group, monitoring growth, and making sure the fry are feeding reliably before any are offered for sale.

This is a growing-batch profile, not an exact-fish listing. The photo shows the developing group. Fish later sold from this batch will normally be group-selected, so natural differences in size, color, markings, fin shape, and sex should be expected. Any larger or especially distinctive juvenile offered as an individually photographed fish will receive its own separate listing.

Availability and pricing have not been scheduled. We will update this page as the fry develop and announce the batch when the juveniles are ready for new aquariums.

Plan for the adult fish

Expected adult size: commonly about 4–6 inches.
Aquarium: we recommend at least 30 gallons for one adult, with additional room and hiding places for multiple plecos.
Temperament: generally peaceful with compatible community fish; mature males may defend preferred caves or territories.
Environment: a fully cycled, well-filtered, oxygen-rich aquarium with stable water, driftwood, shaded retreats, and snug caves.
Diet: do not rely on tank algae alone. Offer quality algae or spirulina-based foods, varied vegetables, and an appropriate balanced prepared diet; remove uneaten fresh food before it fouls the water.
Long-term care: these fish produce meaningful waste and need dependable filtration, regular maintenance, and an aquarium sized for the adult—not just the juvenile arriving home.
