Super Red Bushynose Pleco Fry — Growing Now

Growing now: Eggs were laid July 3, 2026. This representative batch profile follows our locally bred Super Red Bushynose Pleco fry as they develop. They are not yet available for purchase.

First-wiggler video: This video records the first fry we observed after hatching, while it was still relying on its yolk sac.

Current photo: The newer gallery photo shows the fry at the late-wiggler, or yolk-sac-fry, stage. They are not yet free-swimming or actively feeding. The next milestone is the free-swimming fry stage, when the yolk sac has been absorbed and feeding begins.
